Jesse Bardwell has been putting up some serious frequent flyer mileage over the past year. And it's added up to some exciting new projects along the way.
The former lead singer of the Quimby Mountain Band, who was also a contestant on Season 10 of The Voice, has been criss-crossing the country with his band, Jesse Bardwell and The Free Union, as a duo with Elliott Peck performing as Peck & Penn, as a solo act, and guesting with many other bands from New York to Savannah, Nashville, and Northern California.
"I've been busy," understated Bardwell, who grew up in Hackettstown and currently resides in the Delaware Water Gap area. "I've got a lot of exciting projects going on, I'm meeting a lot of great people, and there's a lot of good things on the horizon."
Including a European Tour Nov. 29-Dec. 24 with another Hackettstown native, Joe Cirotti, and Peck. That tour includes stops in Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Denmark and Belgium, so far.
"It's going to be a lot of work, but it should be fun," said Bardwell, who has never toured outside the U.S. before.
He recently let loose a new EP/Vinyl, produced in Nashville, that also features Andy Goessling of Railroad Earth and others.
A month ago he appeared with Phil Lesh of the Grateful Dead at Terrapin Crossroads in California and more recently has opened up for and accompanied Steve Forbert on guitar and mandolin. In fact, Bardwell was also selected to produce a track on a new release of artists covering Forbert tunes.
In August he returns to California again, for another tour with Peck. For more about Bardwell and what he's up to, visit www.JesseBardwell.com.
